Ceremony interlude for unity candle: The Wild Geese – Trad. Irish
• The officiant urged us to choose something ourselves; our bride had not actually requested this.
He talked over us as we played an on-the-spot arrangement starting with flute solo, mandolin and bass joining in after the opening phrase. It was a gorgeous moment.
