Strings Division

Introducing Collage Music’s Strings Division and its members.

String groups are based on the concept of the traditional string quartet, which consists of two violins, viola, and cello.  Our core group is flute, violin, viola, and cello.  Flute and violin are interchangeable.

If you’re after a more “traditional” sound, a vast classical repertoire (slow, fast, and everything in between), and a great selection of contemporary instrumental covers, this is probably where you’ll want to look.

Within our strings division, you can have two, three, or four musicians.

Quartet (4 musicians)

  • Option 1: Our core group of flute, violin, viola, and cello
  • Option 2: A standard string quartet of two violins, viola, and cello.
  • The quartet has the broadest repertoire and the fullest sound.
  • Price: $750 for the first hour, $280 each additional hour (does not include travel nor amplification).

Trio (3 musicianss)

  • Option 1: Our original trio of flute, violin, and cello
  • Option 2: An all-string trio- usually two violins, viola, and cello
  • The trio’s classical repertoire is comparable to that of the quartet, and their contemporary repertoire is a bit more limited.  The overall sound is not quite as full, but they also take up less space.
  • Price: $600 for the first hour, $210 each additional hour (does not include travel nor amplification).

Duo (2 musicians)

  • Option 1: Flute and cello
  • Option 2: Violin and cello
  • For the duo, the repertoire is more limited in both classical and contemporary, and the overall sound is less intense, but this is a great choice for intimate affairs and small spaces.
  • Price: $450 for the first hour, $140 each additional hour (does not include travel nor amplification).
